Irum Ali

Dr. Irum Ali is a sociologist (DPhil Oxon), researcher and policy analyst with a background in institutional governance and public service provision. She has nearly two decades of experience in the microfinance, charity and policy sectors. She currently develops organisational monitoring and evaluation, as well as research and policy projects. Recently she’s worked with Muslim Women’s Network UK, Race on the Agenda (ROTA), the Mayor’s Office at the Greater London Authority (GLA), BMSD and the Muslim Institute. She has previously worked for Grameen Bank and BRAC (the world’s largest NGO). She researches the impact of poor public service provision, lack of inclusion and race equality policy. She is a member of the UK Evaluation Society and on the Board of Trustees at the Bow Foodbank.

Sahil Warsi

Dr. Sahil Warsi is an applied anthropologist and international development professional. He serves on the board of South Asian Arts-UK, a charity based in Leeds, UK, and also provides volunteer support to London-based charities working with Muslim communitities. He has over fifteen years experience in implementing and evaluating projects across the UK, US, and South/Central Asia on behaviour change and public health, migration, gender and access to justice, using fieldwork-based research to provide rapid insights and deliver sustainable change. In addition to working with charities in the UK he also works with international donors like the WHO, UNDP, and USAID.
